Based on a Butterkäse cheese: Rich butter, hay and sweet almond flavors underscored by a bright lemony flavor. Snowfields is made using Autumn and Winter milk from pasture grazed cows. Butterkäse traditionally comes from Germany, and the name translates to “butter cheese.” Most Americans pronounce it “butter case,” but it’s actually pronounced more like “booter-keh-zuh”
